Anti-Christ, Superstar, Who in the world…

Harris Interactive Poll

A poll conducted by Harris Interactive on March 24, 2010 found that 24% of those polled who self-identified as Republicans believe that President Barrack Obama “may be the Anti-Christ”. I’ll not spend the time here to label them as crazy for believing in the Anti-Christ or to point out that there is no correlation between Obama’s life story and the Biblical accounting of how to identify the Anti-Christ (but as an aside…really? 2010 and this blatantly bat-shit crazy idea even has legs? As the kids text these days, WTF?). My charge to the 1 in 4 Republicans who believe this is that you’re a shitty Christian. You’re not shitty for being a poor ambassador for your peaceful religion. You’re not shitty for being ignorant of Biblical teachings. You’re not even shitty for the arrogance to speak for your God. You’re shitty because if you really do believe this, that the man who holds the most powerful office in the world has the power, the plan, and the desire to bring about the end of times, then why are you spending any time answering polls in the first place? If you’re devout in your religious beliefs then you should be spending all your waking hours warning those around you to repent, get back in the good graces of Jesus, and save ourselves from eternal damnation. (It’s not so easy to do what Jesus would do when you’ll to be perceived as ape-shit insane, is it?)
