Speaking of...tangents and other random thoughts

Who’s against this? Is there not a rational argument to be made for every constituent? Only those that are literally crazy, clearly delusional when it comes to defending the illegality of marijuana.

  • Democrats - It’s a source of taxation that every side has to agree to. Republicans because it’s being “strong on drugs”, Dems by claiming it’s a step to making it responsibly legal.
  • Republicans - Based on the free market, it’s a great product. One that posits the reality of the economic theory of supply and demand determining prices and availability.
  • Libertarians  - It’s your free right to treat your body as you see fit without any higher, powerful government reaching in to make that decision for you.
  • Christians - It appeals to your merciful God knowing that there are people’s lives being ruined by imprisonment due to simple possession. Non violent criminals are unjustly having that at over-running prison capacity pace today.
  • Atheists - It proves the science of biology has a beauty in and of itself…no need to project that to an imaginary spirit.
  • Musicians - It makes that shitty, shitty, Jam Band music tolerable.
  • Police - violent crime related to illegal drugs, the selling of it, the protecting of it, the prosecuting of it, would decrease dramatically.

Doesn’t that only leave people who are influenced by the caricature of propaganda? Or is it really Hitler’s birthday?
